چکیده

Seeds, by-products derived from various plants such as mango, quince, and apples, are considered waste, though they have emerging commercial potential, been used in biological, industrial, physiological research. Seed-derived natural macromolecules- mainly polysaccharides, mucilage, gums, cellulose-have physicochemical structural diversification, giving the potential for forming gels, texturing, thickening, providing interfacial adsorption. macromolecules widely during last few years cell research tissue engineering applications. Their widespread approachability safety, high rate of biodegradability, biocompatibility, supporting proliferation, extracellular matrix synthesis main properties making plant seed derivatives appropriate use. The gel-forming ability these gives them capability creating polymer-based scaffolds with aptitude to resemble matrices (ECM). These ECM exhibit renewal. A deeper knowledge characteristics seed-derived mucilage gum has indicated a key ingredient several pharmaceutical preparations, but it remarkably utilized nanomedicine drug carrier delivery, gene therapy, scaffold components purposes. Here, we afford up-to-date data about different extracts seeds?mainly gum, summarize extraction techniques isolate macromolecules, focus on their application fabrication purposes regenerative medicine

Vasculogenic dynamics in 3D engineered tissue constructs

Implantable 3D engineered vascular tissue constructs can be formed by co-culturing endothelial and fibroblast cells on macroporous scaffolds. Here we show that these constructs can be used for studying the dynamics of neovascular formation in-vitro by a combination of live confocal imaging and an array of image processing and analysis tools, revealing multiple distinct stages of morphogenesis. ...

Localization of Engineered Vasculature within 3D Tissue Constructs

Today, in vitro vessel network systems frequently serve as models for investigating cellular and functional mechanisms underlying angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. Understanding the cues triggering the observed cell migration, organization, and differentiation, as well as the time frame of these processes, can improve the design of engineered microvasculature. Here, we present first evidence of ...

Antibacterial, Antioxidant, and Anticholinesterase Activities of Plant Seed Extracts from Brazilian Semiarid Region

The antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anticholinesterase activities of ethanolic seed extracts of twenty-one plant species from Brazilian semiarid region were investigated. The extracts were tested for antimicrobial activity against six bacteria strains and three yeasts. Six extracts presented activity against the Gram (-) organism Salmonella choleraesuis and the Gram (+) organisms Staphylococcus...

Antimicrobial Activity of Wild Plant Seed Extracts against Human Bacterial and Plant Fungal Pathogens

Five wild plant species belonging to different families (Chenopodium album, Plantago major, Elytrigia elongata, Filipendula ulmaria and Nigella sativa) widely spread in Russian Federation and the former USSR were evaluated for their ability to inhibit growth of two important human food-borne pathogens (Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Listeria monocytogenes strain EGD-e) and eight plant pathogens (...
